Cream-to-Soap Face Bar

When a rich skincare cream becomes a facial cleansing bar.

This limited-edition facial soap began as an experiment in cosmetic formulation.

The original formula was created as a rich, nourishing face cream. I wanted to explore what would happen if I took its complex lipid composition and transformed it into an artisan soap formulated specifically for facial cleansing.

The result is my Cream-to-Soap Face Bar — a creamy, mineral-rich facial soap that brings together cleansing and skincare in one beautifully handcrafted bar.

A Cream-Inspired Formula

The original cream formulation featured a complex blend of botanical oils and skin-conditioning ingredients, including Rosehip Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Calendula, Shea Butter, Lanolin, Honey, Aloe Vera, Marshmallow Root, Dandelion, Panthenol, Allantoin, Vitamin E, Hydrolyzed Silk, and Sodium Hyaluronate.

The soap was created around the same philosophy: rich lipids, gentle cleansing, and a luxurious skin feel.

Why These Ingredients?

🌿 Rosehip & Sea Buckthorn

Two beautiful botanical oils valued in skincare for their distinctive fatty-acid profiles and naturally occurring lipophilic compounds. They are especially popular in formulations designed for dry and mature skin.

🌼 Calendula & Marshmallow Root

Some of my favorite botanicals when creating products intended to feel gentle, soothing, and comfortable on the skin.

✨ Lanolin & Shea Butter

These rich emollients contribute to the creamy, conditioning character I wanted to preserve when transforming the original cream concept into soap.

🍯 Honey

More than a beautiful natural ingredient, honey also contributes to the character of the lather and the overall sensory experience of the bar.

🧬 Panthenol, Allantoin & Hydrolyzed Silk

Originally selected as part of the cream’s comprehensive conditioning system and part of the inspiration behind this skincare-focused soap.

With Moroccan Rhassoul Clay

To make this bar especially suited to facial cleansing, I added Rhassoul Clay, a natural mineral clay traditionally used for cleansing both skin and hair.

Its excellent adsorption properties help lift excess oil and impurities from the skin, providing a more thorough cleanse without creating the harsh, overly stripped feeling often associated with conventional soap.

Delicately Scented with Rosewood

A very small amount of Rosewood Essential Oil gives the bar an elegant, barely-there woody-floral aroma.

The intention was never to create a heavily fragranced facial soap. The scent is subtle, refined, and designed to complement the experience rather than dominate it.

More Than a Facial Soap

For me, this bar sits somewhere between cleansing and a skincare ritual.

It represents a different approach to formulation: taking the inspiration and richness of a skincare cream, transforming its chemistry through traditional soapmaking, and creating an entirely new product.

Suitable for all skin types.

Each bar is individually handcrafted, so slight variations in appearance and weight are a natural part of the artisan process.
